But beyond the laughs, Basset Hounds are the ultimate laid-back companions. Birtwick Basset Hounds will be expecting their first litter in 2026. Health Comes First Every dog in our breeding program undergoes comprehensive health testing for key Basset Hound conditions, including Lafora, POAG, Severe Autoimmune Syndrome, and Thrombocytopaenia. Each litter is meticulously planned to improve health, longevity, and temperament. Conformation & Breed Integrity We are committed to preserving the classic Basset Hound look, breeding to the ANKC breed standard for correct structure, movement, and type.
