We live on a small farm in north-west NSW, where our dogs have plenty of room to run and play, fresh air, good food and water and plenty of attention. They love showing just about as much as we do. We have shown 18 Cavaliers to their Australian Championship title and 15 of these were bred by us in the Maxemil prefix, including one Supreme Champion. Health and temperament are our priorities, combined with correct conformation and type. Cavaliers have to be the most beautiful breed who readily to adapt to whatever it is their owners want - active or sedate. They are happiest just to be with you and included in your life. Don't think of buying a Cavalier unless you want a constant companion. Potential adoptive families, should be prepared for the "third degree" as we want only the best homes for our puppies and older dogs, who are all sold as family pets. We do not export or ship dogs by air or road, nor do we deal through third parties. The potential owner of the dog is the only one we will sell to. You will need to drive to us to near Moree (NW NSW), so you need to take this into account.

We are a very small kennel based near Tamworth NSW (one or two litters a year) and have been breeding Cavaliers for more than 25 years. Our breeding dogs must be sound in every way, have an extremely gentle temperament, be beautiful and wonderful with children. Our dogs are regularly health checked by our vet and have also been fully dna tested. Our dogs live as part of the family and our puppies are reared inside and outside, socialised and loved from the moment they arrive. We love our puppies to go to families with children or as wonderful companions, selected breeders and everything else in between. Our beautiful tricolor stud Parknee Simon Says has been the foundation of our breeding for 7 years. He has beautiful dna and is also a carrier for the MMVD protective gene. Simon has passed this gene on to around 70% of his progeny. He will soon be retired from our breeding program to enjoy a life of luxury as we have kept girls from his line and will be introducing a new stud from an outside line to continue broadening our diversity. Uponatime is situated on a rural property in Northern NSW. Our cavaliers are loved members of our family & puppies are raised and socialised in our home. Puppies have plenty of outside time too - with fresh air and wide open spaces to run and explore. Our puppies are well socialised with adults, children and other pets. All parents have clear DNA test results for Dry Eye, Curly Coat, and Episodic Falling. All parents are checked annually by a specialist cardiologist, and each hold clear heart certificates. All of our Cavaliers are vet checked regularly. All parents are descended from champion bloodlines, have gentle natures and well marked. Occasionally we have puppies available to loving pet homes. Uponatime puppies will join their new families at 8 weeks of age, along with limited registration papers, 6 weeks free pet insurance, information folder, and a fun puppy pack. Our puppies are vet checked, immunised, microchipped, and wormed fortnightly from birth. A letter of health from our vet is always provided for each individual puppy. Stellarblue is a small kennel set on acreage which provides an ideal setting for our Cavalier girls. Our girls spend as much time inside as they do out. Pups are rarely available but when they are they come with a guarantee that they are free from all DNA problems associated with the breed as their mothers have been DNA tested through Orivet and the Sires are only sourced from kennels that can verify likewise. Our current pups have been sired by Boambille Ring the Bell out of NABUCCO who has been DNA tested and shown to carry the protective MMVD gene. We are currently awaiting DNA results for the remaining pups to see if Boambillee Ring the Bell has passed on the protective gene to our pups. In 2022 we added a stunning Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to our eclectic family. Nabucco La La La La Lola "owns" our 15 year old son Cooper! She was a gift from his Grandmother (Gay Bonham from Nabucco Cavaliers) who is now mentoring him on all things Cav, breeding, puppies and care. Lola is not only stunning, she has the most gentle and kind nature. She absolutely adores Cooper, who picked her at birth and has been cuddling her since the day she was born. Adding a CKCS to our already strange mix only meant an extra body in the same bed with our Great Dane, Australian Cattle Dog, Pug and Toy Poodle. It makes for a strange sight to visitors as they line up to welcome them, but are all best friends and get on very well.
