I have bred and/or owned over 50 Champions of various breeds in Australia and New Zealand, but have now down-sized and only have Cavaliers. Over the years, my dogs have won numerous BIG/RUBIG awards, as well as Multi In-Show awards at Specialty and All-Breeds Shows under All-Breeds and Specialty Judges. My Cavaliers have FULL PROFILE DNA testing (includes CC/DE/EFS/DM/CM) ... and have regular heart assessments. Health and longevity is the proof in the pudding ... and until recently, we had 4 Cavaliers between 10-13 years old running around the back-yard (all home-bred). I breed all four colours, and I have puppies available occasionally. I am a small breeding and show home of all four standard colours. My dogs and puppies are part of the family and they live in the home with me. They are my companions and pets first. I became involved with ANKC in 2016 showing cavaliers from the very beginning. We have had a lot of fun and success in the show ring at speciality and all breeds level. The health and longevity of my dogs is at the forefront of my breeding program. Structure is important for the functional health and wellbeing of the dog. I aim to breed cavaliers with a sweet melting expression, to size, soundness in structure, temperament and type. My dogs are DNA tested for breed specific diseases. Ophthalmologist tested two yearly. Cardiologist yearly. Patellas are checked yearly by my vet. I am also incorporating the use of MRI screened dogs for Syringomyelia and have commenced a program of screening my own dogs. Breeder of high achievers in both the All-Breeds and Specialty arenas in Australia, as well as Cavaliers who have had great success in the showrings in Sth Africa. There have also been CAVTOWN Cavaliers who have excelled in Obedience, Agility, other Dog Sports, and several who have acquired Therapy dog classifications in various fields. One little Blenheim girl was (to the best of her owner's knowledge) the first Cavalier in Australia to become a fully qualified Assistance Dog for the Hearing Impaired. Extremely proud to be the owner/breeder of the first Wholecolour Cavalier in Australasia to gain the Grand Champion Title. All our puppies (from health-tested parents) are house-reared and "pet quality" pups are sold on Limited Registration. Breed enquiries are always welcome.

We do a full panel of DNA tests on all our breeding adults, with annual cardiologist and ACES certificates. Before leaving us, puppies start toilet and puppy door training. We breed for health, temperament, companionship and quality. Expecting tri coloured and Blenheim babies soon Puppies will be vaccinated x 1, wormed fortnightly, parasite treated, microchipped and vet health checked (with report). Our dogs are all Specialist Health Tested (Heart and Eye), and have full breed DNA profiles (DM, EFS, CCDE, CM). Our dogs are part of our family and our puppies are raised in a home atmosphere, with loads of attention and socialising. Puppies receive a thorough vet check and health certificate from the vet within their comprehensive puppy pack. We register our litters with Dogs Qld (ANKC), pet puppies are on Limited Registration, and main registration is provided for genuine showers or breeders. There is criteria to be met for main registration.

We are a small breeder who focus on ethical and responsible breeding of healthy, well-socialized Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Our dogs are members of our family who live in our home. We only produce a couple litters each year and every puppy receives individual attention and early socialization from day 1 until they leave our home.

At Ecocav, I breed to produce pups with 3 key criteria: First, I breed to improve the DNA tested health of our dogs. I usually DNA test every one of my puppies. I also select for health issues that are not DNA testable, where they become identified in my breeding stock. Second, I breed for temperament, so that the puppies will be family friendly pets, and that they should learn to get along with all other companion animals. Thirdly, I breed for showring type and conformation. The Cavaliers I breed are selected for good conformation and to be true-to-type. While I can't make every single puppy grow to the correct size, I only retain breeding dogs that best conform to the breed standard.
