Wispan is a small but dedicated kennel on the Sunshine Coast of Qld. I strive for excellence in my breeding by using sound stock of excellent temperament and type. I have been involved with this breed since 2009 and I am very fortunate that my foundation bitch came from Greydove Kennels and my dog from Kebro Kennels, both from imported lines. All my dogs are hip and elbow scored prior to breeding and litters are carefully planned. My dogs are companions first and foremost and showing is our hobby. Puppies are raised in our home and socialised with family and friends and adult dogs in preparation for their new families. Our standards are high, with the aim to breed healthy, sound dogs in mind and body while remaining true to type. Our dogs are hips scored (all A & B), are tested for JE, and all have been tested normal for Lysosomal Storage Disease and HUU.We place high importance on selecting only dogs with excellent temperaments as well as impeccable health test results. This continues our commitment to breeding with knowledge, and not by chance, for potential health related issues. All puppies are socialised with children & cats, and are raised using Puppy culture protocols. We support Volhard Temperament testing performed at 7 weeks on all puppies in our litters. Cucciola -Italian meaning- puppy/ cub. We are a small Gold Coast- based breeder of the extraordinary and intelligent Lagotto Romagnolo. We are so grateful for our foundation girl, Alandria Last Kiss, aka Bonnie, who came into our family home in 2020. She has been lovingly raised with us, by the river, and is well socialised with children. LaSimba Kennels has been involved in showing and breeding ANKC purebred dogs (Rhodesian Ridgebacks) for 25 years and has gotten involved in Lagotti for the last four as the breed aligns so well with the AAT (animal assisted therapy, education and activities) space…a key focus for us with involvement with school dog programs. Our puppies come from ANKC registered parents with impressive pedigrees, ensuring the continuation of the breed's exceptional characteristics and health standards. We are involved in conformation showing and have campaigned two of our three to their Australian Championships (the third prefers the couch). With a focus on responsible breeding practices and quality care, we prioritize the well-being and happiness of each puppy, setting them up for a fulfilling and joyful life in their new homes. We use ENS and Puppy Culture methods in rearing puppies in the family home. Parents have been hip and elbow scored and have had full DNA breed profiles and health testing done.
