We worked closely with our parent breed club in the United States, MASCUSA to be instrumental in the recognition of the breed in Australia. We are one of the first breeders of MAS in Australia and look forward to sharing this wonderful breed downunder. We add the Miniature American Shepherd under our already successful prefix ‘Skyefall’, following the same key principles of breeding with integrity and for the betterment and development of the breed. Temperament, type, movement and health will always be at the forefront of our breeding decisions as we further develop this breed, importing dogs and frozen semen from USA. We believe in the true type of the Australian Shepherd in miniature and have developed a breeding program working with top breeders in the United States to develop our own line of MAS. I have done full genetic testing of all my breeding dogs, full panel, CDDY, NAD, Hip/elbow and eyes I am a small breeder of only MAS and totally committed to this one breed, living on 100 acres where we breed and raise cattle and cutting horses. My dogs are all with me either inside while I do bookwork or out on the farm enjoying running around freely and swimming in the dams. I breed both show and agility prospects, but focus on temperament then type. My dogs are low drive and do not need excessive exercise.

We aim for stable temperaments and excellent health. Our stud dog ‘Bond’ is clear of any health issues. This includes a pass in hips and elbows, eyes checked, and many other tests he has passed. *Always check that the parents of the MAS puppy have had their DNA tests and hips and elbows xrayed and passed, and ask for proof. Bstridge Miniature American Shepherds was established in 2023 with the arrival of our first import Maya - Aust Ch Keecam Red Carpet Ready (imp Canada). We have since imported various other dogs from Canada, New Zealand and Hawaii to expand our gene pool. We look forward to importing more dogs and introducing new lines into our breeding program in the near future. We show our dogs in conformation, along with trialling in other dog sports such as sprint dog and lure coursing. All of our adult dogs are health tested before breeding and careful consideration is taken when planning upcoming litters. A long time love affair with Australian Shepherds has brought us to our love of the Miniature American Shepherd and our first imports into South Australia. Arwen (Ch Hampton Hills Faith Works @ Windybrae (imp USA) (Painted Lil Bar-KL Leap Of Faith x Hampton Hills Milwin Silver Sequence)) was the first to arrive in May of 2024. Arwen has been DNA tested clear for all heritable diseases including Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (NAD) and non-HSF4 cataracts. Hips and elbows have been scored and her eyes are checked annually (clear for 2025). Our second import, Primo (AUS Ch. BLK Ch. BIH Gr. Ch. ME Ch. RKF Ch. ROM Ch. RUS Ch. SRB Ch. YUG Ch. Blue Elk Primo Because Of Love (imp USA) (Gr. Ch. Ch. Away To Me Titan Tough x Ashland's Pure Radiance)) came to us in July 2025. Originally born in the USA, Primo went to Europe and was campaigned to championships in many countries there gaining Best in Groups and Best in Shows. He now has his Australian Championship as well. Primo is currently Australia's most titled Miniature American Shepherd and is currently being campaigned to his Australian Grand Champion title. He, like Arwen, is clear for all heritable diseases, with hips and elbows scored (OFA) and eye clearances done (in Europe). We're happy to provide proof of ALL test results from both parents (no need to put a deposit on a puppy to get these). We do have puppies. 8 pretty boys were born on March 16 and we're now taking expressions of interest.

We love Mini American Shepherds! We love their size, personalities, variety of coat and eye colours, their zest for life and the joy they bring to us and to anyone meets them. We fell in love with MAS after owning Australian Cattle Dogs for years and then making the decision to look for a smaller breed, but who were equal in intelligence, athleticism and trainability, as well as being versatile for both town and country life. After falling in love with our first MAS, a delightful little female we call Pockets, there was no turning back. We ventured into a small breeding program of registered purebred dogs suitable for pet or show. Our dogs are showcased on our Facebook and Instagram page called Urban Cowboy Mini American Shepherds. Our registered breeder prefix is BERADMAS member no 3100035155. Urban Cowboy Ranch is located in North East Vic, close to Benalla, just off the Hume Freeway where we have a small number of litters per year and 2 stud males. Our dogs live with us, inside and out, alongside our horses as part of our family. We have 20 acres where they are free to run, play and swim. Our dogs & puppies spend time with us on the farm, going to work in our fitness business in Shepparton & out and about socially in Nth East Vic. We are super proud of all of our dogs and look forward to seeing some of our puppies out and about showing next year. I've been breeding these little guys for almost 20 years. I started out in Canada and then 8 years ago I brought dogs into Australia. The first time I saw one was at a horse show in Oklahoma 2003 - I couldn't believe my eyes. So compact and clever, versatile and fun. They are the best little dog for everything. In almost every pickup truck at a rodeo in Canada/US one of these dogs is riding console. Family pet - check, agility - check, scent work, swimming, herding, cuddling, Netflix-watching - check, check, check. They're the ultimate companion and they love the whole family. You can train them so easily and well. Just the best. And that's what my customers say when they come back after a year or two for their 2nd dog. "These are the best little dogs," is all I hear, and I love hearing it. My beautiful, genetically-clear dogs are all here on the farm. I have imports and homegrown. Some are natural bobtails, some have tails. I breed for temperament, structure, health & overall breed improvement. Dogs and puppies spend their days swimming in dams, socialising & growing. My pups are sold pedigreed, registered, vaccinated, health checked, micro-chipped, tick & flea treated, wormed and ready for action. They have a puppy pack with things that smell like litter-mates, food and a toy. They're pretty much toilet trained for grass, newspaper and puppy pads. Questions or to register interest call me.

We became involved with MAS when we got Quin (Ch Jensza Bad Little Beach) who was born in December 2023. We were lucky enough to have Quin's parents (Australia's first two American imports) to show and title in Western Australia, along with her brother Wilson (with Christie Chapman). Myself, along with Christie, were solely responsible for preparing, showing and titling all four of these MAS - the first in Western Australia. In 2026 we are hoping for our first litter of MAS and it'll be onwards and upwards from there. Such an exciting future ahead for this beautiful little breed
