We have been Showing and Breeding Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 30 years, producing multiple Champions, Grand Champions, Best in Show and Best in Specialty Show winners. In saying that, our dogs are a loved part of our family first and foremost. They have stolen not just our couches and our bed, but our hearts. At Otesha Rhodesian Ridgebacks, we don't have time to build commercial looking websites, because when we aren't working to support our dogs we are spending time with them, they're our fur-family. We don't have a regular abundance of puppies, as we are not running a kennel, our dogs are our loved pets. However when we do breed, all our Ridgebacks are x-rayed and scored for Hip & Elbow Dysplasia prior to the breeding taking place. They are also DNA tested for Degenerative Myelopathy (Clear) & JME (Clear). Our puppies live inside our house where they learn to be part of the family and leave our home vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and come with an 18kg bag of food, bowl, collar & lead, bed, cuddle teddy, toys, treats, worming tablet and an information booklet. More importantly you receive true lifetime support which includes phone, message and email support, and free training sessions for anyone who lives within an hour travel, or is willing to travel to us. Kamania Rhodesian Ridgebacks are located in Bendigo Victoria. I have been involved with this Majestic breed since 1995 but, it all started in the mid 70's when I was much younger. My Uncle introduced me to his Rhodesian Ridgeback- via film and photos, from when he lived and worked in Rhodesia, (now Zimbabwe) with the locals and their families. I fell instantly in love at the beauty of his dog 'Caesar' and the wonderful stories he would tell me. As it would turn out- 20 years later, when I was to purchase my first dog, it had to be a Rhodesian Ridgeback. My first 3 Rhodesian Ridgebacks have since gone to the Rainbow Bridge and it is their qualities I strive to achieve in my breeding program. Exceptional temperament, soundness and beauty are the key elements to selectively produce the occasional litter- either for the show ring or for loving family pets. All dogs used for breeding have had their hips and elbows x-rayed and scored. Also a full DNA profile is done for each dog prior to breeding to check for health issues that can affect Rhodesian Ridgebacks- i.e. DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), JME (Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy). Puppies are checked at birth (and then weekly) for Dermoid Sinus. Ujamaa kennels- breeders of champions and companions since 1978. We have owned or bred over 40 Champions, but show rarely these days. Our primary objective is to breed sound companions- to do this we source the best stud dogs for our girls- most recently travelling to Crufts in the UK and the World Dog show in Croatia to find the best. Our current companion is young Nellie related to our recently departed Aust Ch Ujamaa Alessandra Facchinetti (Allie) and Ujamaa Winx, daughter of Int Ch Vizara Jukati and Allie. I have a particular interest in genetic diseases and dogs we breed with are routinely screened for sound hips, elbows and degenerative myelopathy (DM). Some lines are also screened for cardiac issues by ultrasound and/or hypothyroidism. We also work with Cat Glenn and family- they are owned by Zuri and Rosie. Fran Parsons and her pack are also in "the family"

We purchased our first Rhodesian Ridgeback 'Jera' in 1992 and quickly fell in love with her and this very loyal breed in general. Jera was our foundation bitch and had her first litter in 1995. That was the start of a long journey under the 'Sahwira' prefix. We have always bred for good temperament and conformation. We have bred, loved and owned many champions. Our dogs have always been well socialised and obedience trained and have been a big part of family life and loved by all. At Zenridge we strive to breed Ridgebacks of sound temperament and health. Following a decade of owning Rhodesian Ridgebacks and falling in love with the breed, we have taken the next step with our newest Ridgeback Nala, attending conformation shows and receiving her Champion Title in late 2023. We were in awe seeing how our beautiful Nala and her exceptional temperament developed as she grew, hence our journey to conformation showing and breeding. We are in the process of establishing our kennel with our first litter being anticipated later this year. All puppies will be raised in our home environment around other pets, and will be regularly exposed to babies, toddlers and older children. When puppies leave for their new homes they will come vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and with a puppy pack containing items you need to ensure the best transition into your home.
