At the tender age of approximately 13 years he won a Speciality Best in Show under the well known and respected Gundog Specialist Stephanie Rickard. He is now enjoying retirement on that high note and providing guidance to his progeny. Tia- Tal's daughter, also an in show and in group winner is about to return from maternity leave. Treasure (AI) - the new addition to the family from Tia and Statesman Spectacular Bid (USA) has already won a few Baby in show and group and will be giving her best to achieve greatness and will try and better the results her mother and grandfather have been able to achieve.

Mycroft is a small kennel located at Lower Portland, near Windsor NSW. My love affair with Welshies began in the 80's when I saw 2 dogs imported into Australia by Scott & Eira Taylor (Nantyderi) from New Zealand. At the time there were only a few of the breed in Australia, so to further my knowledge of this beautiful breed, I decided to go to "Crufts" in the UK were I could see the breed in numbers of over 400 with outstanding depth of quality. I have had the opportunity to visit & meet some of the breeders of the best Welsh Springer Kennels in England, Scotland & Wales & see some of the best Welsh Soringer Spaniels in the world. I believe that the best dogs come from the UK & we breed to the UK Breed Standard. Over a period of time I have imported 4 dogs from the UK including an English Show Champion from one of the top kennels there. My most recent import, Supreme Champion Bushwacket Hot Pursuit via Highclare (UK) "Chase" is a Multi Best in Show, All Breeds winner. I travel regularly overseas to go to shows in both England & Europe & as a Licenced All Breeds Judge, have judged the breed in many countries of the World & also give the Breed Lecture for the Conformation Judges Training Scheme for Dogs NSW. My dogs are Best in Show winners, Runner Up Best in Show winners & Multi Group & Class in Show winners & most importantly of all, a joy to live with. All stock are hip & elbow scored & eye tested.

Featherdale Welsh Springer Spaniel Kennels was established in 1988 and resides in Goulburn NSW. Welshies have been a part of our lives for over 30 wonderful years. During that time we have achieved amazing success, while only showing sparingly. We have bred Best of Breed winners of the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra Royal Shows, as well as winning 3 times Best in Show at the Welsh Springer Spaniel Club NSW. Winning multi Best in Group and multi Classes in Show & In Group awards and our beautiful Delilah won BEST OF BREED AT 2016 SYDNEY ROYAL EASTER SHOW beating an impressive line up of past winners. We are a small family kennel which only breed occasionally. Our breed pool, to date, incorporates Champion English bloodlines with a blend of impressive New Zealand and American lines. We strive to breed to the UK standard with our Welshies having beautiful rich red & white coats, strong, but elegant heads, and wonderful reach & drive. All our dogs, of course, are health checked. Owned by my first Welsh Springer in 1984 I fell in love with the breed. Such a beautiful family dog in every way. Daioni Kennel's aim is to breed sound Welsh Springer's in Structure and temperament. Most importantly all dogs in the Daioni kennel are health tested with documentation available for viewing. Health testing includes: Hip, Elbow Scored and Eye Tested, including testing for predisposition to produce Glaucoma. Breeding stock are carefully monitored for genetic health. All inquiries are welcome from prospective pet, hunting or show homes. We provide new owners with extensive and ongoing assistance with their new family members and aim to place the best puppy to your individual circumstance. Our Current Stud Dog Aust. CH. Bryndoain G I Joe (IMP NZ) was imported from New Zealand from Bryndoain Kennels and he is a true ANZAC having an Australian Mum from the Alcare Kennel. A lovely Boy with an amazing temperament that will melt the hardest of hearts. JJ as he is known has had success in the Show ring as a young dog and continues to mature into a truly lovely representative of the written standard for this breed.

At Frecklewyn we believe that welsh springers are not just beautiful - they are also excellent dog sport competitors and all-round wonderful companions. Our foundation bitch, Ch Mycroft My Bridie ,is currently competing successfully in Obedience and Rally, and has enjoyed introductory training in Tracking and Retrieving. Bridie is also outstanding at demanding pats and cuddling on the lounge! We believe that any breeding program should seek to produce dogs of excellent temperament, conformation and health. We are particularly concerned with reducing the risk of inheritable diseases, and thus ensure all relevant health tests have been done prior to breeding.
