Breeders of Welsh Springer Spaniels since 1989 at Laugharne Kennels we believe we are not so much a kennel but a "tapestry" and every dog and owner is a precious thread in their own right. We have added new threads to our breeding "tapestry" by importing semen from Sweden and Finland and more recently importing Oliver from the UK. Our aim is to breed healthy dogs with good temperaments whilst remaining faithful to the breed standard. All our dogs are hip and elbow scored and eye tested we also complete DNA health testing on all breeding dogs. Puppies are raised in our home with all our dogs being house dogs. We are proud that not only do we have many Australian Show Champions we also have dogs titled in obedience, agility, tracking, endurance and scent work. Enquiries welcome.

We have been involved in the Dog World for the past 28 years. I started out with Obedience then Tracking and Conformation, first with Rough Coat Collies, Coolies and then with German Spitz. I then had a break to have children before I found what for us is the perfect breed, and that is the Welsh Springer Spaniel. I can't see us ever having anything else as a breed. They are a joy to have part of the family. Great with children and ready for any active family. They are a gorgeous looking, active, intelligent breed with quite an easy coat to care for with minimal trimming. Being active and smart they need a daily walk and run and an activity to occupy their brains, then they are happy to chill out with you at home. Being medium size, clean and people orientated they are perfect to join in with all your family activities. Caring about the breed as we do, all our Welshies are health tested before being selectively bred so as to maintain the health of and improve the breed. Puppies come raised with love in the family and are Vaccinated, Microchipped and Vet Health checked.
