If you are looking for a funny, sweet and loving dog with a slightly wild and wicked character, then we have just the dog for you. Confident, healthy, happy, outgoing Whippets assured. We don't breed for colour so please don't contact us asking for a specific colour. We breed for health and temperament and to meet the breed standard. Colour is immaterial to us and we hope, to the owners of our dogs. We aim to screen adult dogs for cardiac and eye tests and if a 'coloured' litter with a lot of white, we BAER (hearing) test. At Ridgesetter, we offer experience and are happy to mentor new exhibitors. We are both ANKC All Breed Judges; have served on several committees for Dogs NSW and have been involved with breed and all breed clubs. Currently Toni is the Hound Co-ordinator for Dogs NSW and also holds TAFE Certificates in Animal Attendants and Domestic Animal Care as well as a Delta Instructors Certificate and for several years worked in the pet care industry. Puppies are raised in our home and each litter is planned with the intent of keeping one for ourselves. As such, we grade our litters at 8 weeks and puppies are available after that. We welcome visitors to meet our dogs and answer questions on the breed. We don't breed often so drop us a line to enquire when our next litter will be. "There's no substitute for experience!"

Wroxton, formerly known as Duxford, is internationally known for its shih-tzu and is the home to over 130 Champions in Australia and abroad: many Grand and Supreme Champions. We also boast the youngest Grand Champion in Australia, testament to the quality of dogs we breed. While we don't breed that often, our puppies, like all our dogs, are raised and remain a part of our family and within the family home to ensure the very best of temperament. In addition to shih-tzus, whippets have always been a part of our lives, our first in 1992 - Savannah "Ch Statuesque Pillow Talk", went on to win numerous Best in Shows. In 2010 we moved to Brazil where, in addition to judging, we came across the Apoama whippet kennel: such wonderful dogs. Returning to Australia in 2013 with our Multi Best in Show girl "Artemis" we embraced a new chapter of our lives which firmly encompasses whippets.

Bundoon puppies are born and raised in the family home. Being a multi generational home, ranging in ages from 5 to 92 this helps accustom our puppies to all the sights and sounds of daily life in a busy household. Once old enough puppies begin to spend time out in our puppy yard, where they get used to ride on mowers, blowers etc. Our Whippets have been successful in the conformation ring, on the field in lure coursing and agility and are enjoying life on couches across Australia and overseas. Our Whippets undergo heart health testing by an experienced cardiologist vet before breeding. Puppies and mum are examined by our vets first at 2 days old then again at 6-7 weeks old before going to their new homes. We currently have a litter from Harvey and Livvy. Amdea Whippets & American Staffordshire Terriers is a small kennel located in the tranquil Southern Highlands of NSW. Fast Forward a few years and our love for Whippets has finally come to fruition. We obtained our first bitch, Calahorra NS Perfect Storm "Bronte" from Wendye Statyer. Bronte excels in Scent Work and Sprint Dog and is soon to learn Tracking. Bronte has been mated to Dachlah Man On The Moon, owned by Wendye Slatyer. We are expecting beautiful puppies towards the end of October 2024, ranging in colour from fawn, to blue brindle with solid, outgoing and friendly temperaments. Expressions of interest are being taken now for Sporting, Conformation and Companion homes for these babies. You will receive a life time of support and advice with your new puppy.
