We are a small select kennel located on the Sunshine Coast, Qld. We have owned, trained and been in love with Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 25 years. Although our dogs are Australian Champions Dogs – they are primarily loved members of our family. They share their lives with us, they come on holidays with us and are included in many family activities. Our dogs are not kennel dogs. We don’t breed often but when we do have puppies, we go to great lengths to ensure our babies get a great start in life and go to only the best homes. Their Humans will receive our life long support.

We began as a family with a deep passion for learning and continually developing our breeding program to the highest possible standard. Our focus is on producing exceptional quality Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies, with careful consideration given to both temperament and breed characteristics. As a family with young children, we are especially selective in choosing calm, well balanced breeding pairs. Our aim is to produce confident, stable puppies that are not highly strung and are well suited to family life dogs we would proudly and confidently recommend to our own friends and family. We understand that choosing a breeder and welcoming a new companion into your home is both an exciting and challenging experience. When we started our own journey, the most challenging part was finding a breeder we felt comfortable engaging with openly—someone who encouraged questions and made us feel genuinely involved with the litter from the very beginning. That experience shapes how we work with our puppy families today. All enquiries are responded to in a timely manner, and we are happy to guide you through every step of the decision making process. Marvelridge is a small, family based Rhodesian Ridgeback breeder located in the Redlands area of South East Queensland established in 2021. We raise our puppies in our home for the first four weeks before introducing them to the outside world. By about 5 weeks old, our puppies are living outside full time on grass with daily adventures back into the house to learn all about doggy doors and kitchen smells. Marvelridge aims to breed quality dogs who have temperaments suited to the family home. Our Ridgebacks are pets first and come on all adventures with us including camping, four wheel driving and days at the beach. All dogs that we breed with have been health tested via full DNA profiles as well as X-rayed to establish risk of Hip and Elbow dysplasia. We purchased our first Rhodesian Ridgeback 'Jera' in 1992 and quickly fell in love with her and this very loyal breed in general. Jera was our foundation bitch and had her first litter in 1995. That was the start of a long journey under the 'Sahwira' prefix. We have always bred for good temperament and conformation. We have bred, loved and owned many champions. Our dogs have always been well socialised and obedience trained and have been a big part of family life and loved by all. Many of our Ridgebacks have found their forever homes with families with children who love them dearly. All of our breeding stock are xrayed and DNA tested. I am a small scale breeder and exhibitor of Rhodesian Ridgebacks. My dogs live a life of luxury as companions in my home. They are fed premium food, have daily bush hikes or runs at the beach and accompany me on regular outings (e.g. nursing home, coming to work, brunch at cafes etc). I love the breed and want to share the joy I get from my dogs, by breeding to produce quality puppies of a high standard for companion and/or show prospects. I always aim to improve and preserve the integrity of this amazing breed with every litter I thoughtfully produce. Any dog used in my breeding program has full comprehensive health testing performed (CHEDS hip and elbow scoring +/- PennHip if indicated, cardiac auscultation and echocardiogram (+/- Holter Monitor if indicated) by cardiologist, and full Orivet DNA profile (including screening for JME, DM, EOAD). Breeding stock must be of excellent temperament and be suited as family companions first and foremost, with show ring success being a bonus. Puppies are raised with care inside my home using the puppy culture protocols. They go to new homes vaccinated, sterilised (tubal ligation/ vasectomy), with a comprehensive information book, food and blanket. The well-being of every puppy I produce is important to me, and I am available to assist and advise on any issues for the lifetime of my puppies. Our long affinity with, and extensive research of, Rhodesian Ridgebacks led to our foundation girl in 2011. Koko was the beginning of a wonderful journey and our pack of 5 now live with us on our bush acreage in the Perth Hills. Phakama Ridgebacks are a select small kennel and breed infrequently, to maintain and improve our lines only, and all puppies are raw fed and raised with a puppy culture program. Puppies live in the house and have monitored free range of our property as they grow. They are taught to "speak dog" by the rest of the pack and flourish easily. All puppies go to approved homes only. Health testing is a priority and all our dogs are AVA hip/elbow scored, heart screened by a cardiologist, and have a full Orivet DNA Breed Profile completed. We believe sound temperaments are essential! Every dog we have bred and kept has participated in Conformation Showing and we are proud to have bred 2 Australian Champions. Not all dogs like the show ring, so we also participate in Lure Coursing and two of our pack gained their JC titles in this discipline. All have completed a Masters in Owning their Human ;) We are members of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of WA and registered members of Dogs West and Dogs Australia. At Zenridge we strive to breed Ridgebacks of sound temperament and health. Following a decade of owning Rhodesian Ridgebacks and falling in love with the breed, we have taken the next step with our newest Ridgeback Nala, attending conformation shows and receiving her Champion Title in late 2023. We were in awe seeing how our beautiful Nala and her exceptional temperament developed as she grew, hence our journey to conformation showing and breeding. We are in the process of establishing our kennel with our first litter being anticipated later this year. All puppies will be raised in our home environment around other pets, and will be regularly exposed to babies, toddlers and older children. When puppies leave for their new homes they will come vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and with a puppy pack containing items you need to ensure the best transition into your home. Our Ridgebacks are x-rayed and scored for Hip & Elbow Dysplasia, and are DNA tested for Degenerative Myelopathy (Clear) & JME (Clear). We look forward to the journey of being Ridgeback breeders!

We are a Dogs NZ approved breeder of Rhodesian Ridgebacks located in North Auckland. All breeding dogs are DNA tested and screened for hip and elbow dysplasia. Our dogs are very much part of the family and we like to include them in our everyday activities. Rhodesian Ridgebacks originally were bred as an all purpose, versatile, tracking, running and lion hunting hound. Although there seems to be a lack of lions New Zealand, we aim to keep our dogs 'fit for purpose' (just in case), along with nurturing amazing temperaments to make fantastic additions to families. Vishalah Kennels is a small kennel located in Western Sydney, inspired and guided by several generations of showing and breeding Ridgebacks. Formerly ‘Vishala’, our kennels started when my grandmother, Deirdre Bacon, brought her first Ridgeback, Leader of Chadwell (”Kaunda”), over from England in 1972. Deirdre co-founded Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Inc. (1973) and passed her passion for the breed along to my mother, Kate McPherson, who bred several beautiful show-winning dogs including: Aust Ch Vishala Sikoto; Aust Ch Vishala Inkosi; Aust Ch Vishala Impi; Aust Ch Vishala Sebina; Aust Ch Vishala Ndawo; Aust Ch Vishala Kabangisa, and International Ch Vishala Kinghunter Lance. We do not get caught up in the clickiness and ego that can be involved in dog showing anymore we just enjoy our dogs. We strive to achieve true to type Rhodesian Ridgebacks with good health and temperament. .We feel the Rhodesian Ridgeback is one of the most healthiest breeds anyone could own these days with our knowledge of this breed. When we breed we do it generally for our own benefit but when we do there are also other precious babies needing homes also. While I have owned Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 14.5 years and have shown them very successfully for about 12 years, I did not start breeding until 3 years ago. My mission as a breeder is to breed healthy Rhodesian Ridgebacks, of good temperament, to the ANKC breed standard. I will always strive to title my dogs both in the show ring and in the various sporting arenas open to us. My girls currently are 14.5, 12, 11, 7 and 3 years of age. They are well socialised and enjoy trips to the beach, local markets and Bunnings. My husband is disabled and we have different carers and allied health workers visiting five days a week, so temperament is extremely important. Puppies I breed are raised in my home and following Puppy Culture protocols. My oldest RR, FCH Chilolo EK Sasha ET LCX vLCX has had the longest lure coursing career in Australia and was fit enough to keep competing until she was almost 12. Dual Ch (LC) Chilolo CHN Cool Samara (AI) ET LCX has also had an amazing coursing career and won Best in Field at the Rhodesian Ridgeback National in 2023. Samara is currently expecting puppies around 14 August 2025.

Established 26+years ago in the UK, I immigrated with three generations in 2007. My litters are born and raised in the lounge to maximise their socialisation. Pups are introduced to different sounds, surfaces to walk on and humans of different ages. Parents are health tested, hip and elbow scored for dysplasia, DNA tested for Degenerative Myelopathy, Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy. Your puppy will come with: 1st health check & vaccination.
