Amdea Whippets & American Staffordshire Terriers is a small kennel located in the tranquil Southern Highlands of NSW. Our dogs are all part of the family and enjoy plenty of space to exercise and relax. We have been involved with American Staffordshire Terriers for several years, showing and learning from our mentors here in Australia and overseas. Fast Forward a few years and our love for Whippets has finally come to fruition. We obtained our first bitch, Calahorra NS Perfect Storm "Bronte" from Wendye Statyer. Bronte excels in Scent Work and Sprint Dog and is soon to learn Tracking. Bronte has been mated to Dachlah Man On The Moon, owned by Wendye Slatyer. We are expecting beautiful puppies towards the end of October 2024, ranging in colour from fawn, to blue brindle with solid, outgoing and friendly temperaments. Expressions of interest are being taken now for Sporting, Conformation and Companion homes for these babies. You will receive a life time of support and advice with your new puppy. Our puppies potential families will be screened and help given to choose the perfect puppy for your lifestyle. We are current members of the Whippet Club of NSW. Chemya Whippets breed predominantly for form and function. All my pups are raised with my 4 children from the get go. I have been in this breed for 7 years now, previous breed was Finnish Spitz. Starting out with a lovely bitch from Saramar Whippets and then breeding her to a Benbridge stud dog gave me my first litter in which I've kept a bitch from and bred her back to the Kana-Ka side to produce the beautiful boy I have now. I have also bred back on the Saramar side and have another lovely wee bitch who I have big plans for. I also do lure coursing because for me a Whippet should be always fit for purpose. Following on from this I am also in the process of being a qualified Lure Coursing Judge. Any litter announcements will be via my Facebook page first. I am taking enquiries now for my next litter.

We have recently started breeding with the 'Waitetuna' name. Molly's (Arjuna Make Ya Moove) first litter was whelped in March 2023. Molly's litter has the genetics of a U.K imported (N.Z registered) blue whippet named Sooty Blue. This mating resulted in a litter of blue/white, blue brindle, blue fawn, black/white and black puppies. Our whippets are raised as much-loved pets on a farm and are used to deer, cattle and chickens. In the near future, we will start showing our whippets. Molly’s second litter was whelped on 24.09.2025. The sire is Bindura Jewel Thief. We have 3 dog and 3 bitch puppies available to approved homes. Member since April 2021

Welcome to Twmbarlwm (pronounced Tomb-bar-loom) whippets. Difficult to pronounce given the lack of vowels, unless you have a Welsh background! A nod to an ancient hill fort near my childhood home, to which I have walked many times. The views are unforgettable over the River Severn Estuary and Bridge, across to Bristol and over the lush Welsh Valleys. Since a child whippets have been a part of the family, both in Wales & Australia. A very confident and smart whippet ‘Jasmine’ was the catalyst for my research into breeding practices. Jasmine left us at the young age of 7 due to an inherited condition of Mitral valve disease and pulmonary stenosis, we were devastated. This event was the beginning of my research journey into canine genetics, nutrition, structure and movement, along with best practice puppy socialization. Lots of reading, courses and exams and I am now at the point of starting my breeding program. I have gained a certificate in canine genetics, an Educated Breeder Certificate from Therapy dogs Australia Breeder Standards and am continuing to build on my nutrition knowledge with a 12 month Professional Certification in canine biological nutrition & dietetics. I am also completing a canine first aid course.
